Beloved Performer The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.

American performer Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic television series like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.

The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California on Monday having undergone treatment for cancer since 2022, per news outlets.

"Pat saw everyone as a friend - only friends he had yet to meet," his relatives shared in a announcement.

They added that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Television Career

His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.

He was also seen in a repeating character on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He starred as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, such as:

• "King of Queens"
• "Friends"
• That '70s Show
• House, M.D.

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight series from 2011 to 2018.

His work in movies are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".

A Life in Improv

Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.

He was involved with a comedy group of six called Beer Shark Mice.

"Pat coached, befriended and mentored many learners over the years and it would be difficult to find anyone who has an unkind word to say about him," his family wrote.

Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".

"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted on social media.

Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
