Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a barrier and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.
A circulating footage shows the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by guards.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.
"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.
Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.
Some fans also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.
In videos shared widely, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.
Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
Hundreds of fans had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.
The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected relationship between two distinct sorceresses.
The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.
They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, securing several for best costume and artistic direction.
