Having held the city under siege for nearly an extended period, from August the paramilitary force proceeded to strengthen its control and prevent access for the surviving inhabitants.

Satellite images reveal that fighters began to build a enormous sand wall - a built-up earthen wall - around the edges of the city, closing entry points and preventing relief supplies.

An elderly person dressed in a traditional garment sat isolated surrounded by the corpses. He turned to gaze as a combatant carrying with a rifle proceeded along the staircase in the direction of the victim. pointing his rifle, the gunman released a single shot at the man, who collapsed to the ground motionless.

"How come is this person even alive," another militiaman shouted. "Shoot him."

One observer who spoke stated he had observed "numerous of our family members being massacred - these individuals were gathered in one place and everyone killed."

RSF Officers Seek to Conduct Public Relations

Following the events that followed the atrocity, RSF commander conceded that his forces had carried out "violations" and stated the incidents would be investigated.

Among those apprehended was after a analysis recording his murders. Deliberately choreographed and modified recording shared on the militia's formal Telegram account show him being taken into a cell at a detention facility on the outskirts of el-Fasher.

Simultaneously, the paramilitary force and affiliated online profiles started seeking to reframe the narrative.

Posts presenting its fighters handing out supplies to residents were circulated by some users, while the force's media office shared numerous videos purporting to demonstrate the proper management of army captives.

Despite the social media campaign being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in al-Fashir have provoked global outrage.
