Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in an LA Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, according to.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
